World Water Day 2017 has been observed in a befitting manner in Bangladesh. WASH Alliance Bangladesh did not have any fund for observation of the day. However, BWA in collaboration with civil society organizations, WSSCC, FANSA, NGO Forum has arranged round table discussion with national daily news paper. Mr. Anisur Rahman, Hon’ble Minister or water resource Mr. Anisul Islam Mahmud was present as chief guest while, Sr. Secretary, Dr. Jafar Ahmed Khan remained present as special guest. Mr. Taksim A Khan, Managing Director of Dhaka WASA was present as special discussion. Professor Dr. Mujibor Rahman presented key note paper. Main theme of world water day 2017 was reduce and reuse of waste water. Country Coordinator was present and delivered speech on how to reduce and reuse of waste water. Water resource ministry is involved in preparation of Delta plan. We had also requested to Minister and Sr. Secretary for proper consultation with civil society organizations in 100 year perspective delta plan.
