Methodology development workshop on National WASH Accounts Bangladesh:
Long time the sector professionals and government departments and relevant stakeholders are striving for WASH accounts. BWA partner, WaterAid in collaboration with General Economic Division and other relevant government ministries has taken initiative to start the process of national wash accounts in Bangladesh. In relation to this WaterAid organized methodology development workshop in Cox’s Bazar. Prof. Dr. Shamsul Alam, Member (Sr. Secretary), Planning Commission was present as Chief Guest, Mr. K.M.Mozammel Hoq, Secretary, SID was present as special guest. Sr. Official form planning division, ministry of finance, BBS, NGOs, Academia, press were remain present as participants and panel discussant. In principle it was agreed to start expenditure base national wash accounts.
